These two shirts are hysterical. But like most (if not all) funny things, someone might be offended by it. Are the following shirts appropriate for 6th grade? Keep in mind that 5th and 4th grade students are also in the school. (in a different wing, mind you)

Yes. I know they are nerdy. That's what I'm going for. In fact, I buy all of my clothes at jinx.com.

jinx.com is an online geek store for those of little knowledge of it.

No. The first one is not what I really believe it should be. It's ridiculous--that's the point.

I'm going to have to disagree with Paul.
I doubt my pea-brained classmates would understand anything that wasen't a TransWorld Skateboard magazine or a TeenPeople fashion cloumn.

I highly doubt they would understand the first shirt without a bit of explanation. The smarter ones, maybe. But the general public would not.

Wow. I don't care if you think they are "gay". I asked you a question, not your opinion on my fashion sense.

And no. I'm not shopping at Hollister.

Reason: Hollister doesn't make funny/good shirts.

Kids understand ALOT more then we give them credit for. I think any shirt that has the words "Screw you" on it, in any manner, is inappropriate. I also think that we fought incredibly hard to get the right to vote and now, most women don't even do it. I think we need to be teaching our girls from the time that they are small that being a woman makes the special and that they are strong enough and smart enough to have a voice. How do you get that voice heard? VOTING!!

those are actually not suitable comments for a instructor to make in a form room and out of your retelling, seem to be extremely radical. there is not a unmarried remark right here that's actual if precise researched and debated, for one factor, and secondly a instructor's job does not contain pushing their own political ideals on a pupil. If my son's instructors started asserting issues like this i could be marching rapidly right down to the faculty and annoying an evidence! it extremely is okay to coach genuine tips approximately matters including Guantanamo Bay, faith and Iraq, and invite non-racist, genuine and inciteful debate, besides the undeniable fact that it extremely is in no way okay to coach those matters with the view of influencing a pupil's perspective to their own ideals.

I think the first one is fine. Reasonably intelligent sixth graders will get the satire.

The second one not so much. I'm not crazy about the word "screw" in print in elementary school.

The shirt with the 2 ladies, yes.

The one with the tree, no (due to the word 'scr*w' on it)

The first one is fine. I wouldn't get the second one though as you say the smaller kids in school

They are not appropriate for that grade level because kids that age may not understand the dry humor intended by the phrasing and take it literally.....

I think they are appropriate for a 6th grade classroom. I have a little problem with the word screw though.

What those are so stupid and those models are freakin' creepy. go to Hollister or something. Dude I don't mean to kill you ego but those are very gay!! But if you really want one I wouldn't get the second one. It says screw and those little sixth graders will probably go cry to the moms. Hope it helps!! but please don't buy those!!!
