I don't know what else to get this man for Christmas. He plays bass guitar so I got him a miniature crystal guitar on a stand. He has money to buy clothes. I want to get him another gift. We're not that close since there was verbal abuse growing up but I live five states away so the distance relationship is good. Any ideas?

Thanks guys, these are all good but... my dad is retired and he doesn't like sports, I don't have many pics of us together, he doesn't have a computer or even likes them, and he has tons of music already from being a bass player. Oh... and he's a minister too. He has tons of Bibles and research materials. so... I'm stumped

I think he should be grateful that you are thinking of him at all on Christmas. Send him a card and tell him what ou learned from your childhood.

I would go to a Christian book store to find him something or how about a music book for him to play his guitar out of.

This might sound crazy, but dad's love their kids and whatever they give them.

Make a scrapbook (large or small) of photos of just you and him - or just you - growing up. Write on each page what your thoughts were at the time or what they are now.

Or, you can take photos to Kinko's or someplace like that, and have a wall calendar made for him. As a mother, I like the scrapbook idea best.

How about searching ebay for tickets to that "hard to get concert event." Find his most favorite group, or even sporting event. You might even tell him you two could go together.

Give him a gift certificate for a music store, or site if you think he'd be interested in that.

If he enjoys sports also then get him some tickets to a favourite sporting event.

Perhaps, he would like an alarm clock.
