You need to ask your pediatrician. Keep using the saline and suction and prop up his head on firmly rolled blankets so his nose can drain and help him breathe during the night. Poor little guy, I hate it when the tiny ones get sick.

yes you can but you want to call the pediatrician anyway. call the main office and they will give you his answering service and you leave a message to be called back. it only takes a minute.
why are you giving him the tylenol? is he in pain? fever?
sounds like he needs more than just something to cover the pain. he probably needs an expectorant of some sort to thin out all the mucus.
take him in the bathroom, turn it on scalding hot and shut the door. the steam should help him out a bit.
also, sleeping in his swing or bouncer or carseat will help too. laying down will make it worse.
good luck.

Tylenol makes an infant version. It even has a picture of a baby on it. See this link. I gave our daughter a dose of it when she was 4 months and she suffered from the same thing.
Personally I think the humidifier and having her sleep elevated helped more than the medicine, but it's worth a try.

Infant tylenol isn't going to help with a stuffy nose. Do the humidifier/booger sucker routine.. if not I suggest using triametic's infant strips for runny nose/congestion. They are about the size of a fingernail and work really well!

Talk to the pediatrician about the medication.
I know it's hard to get the snot out of their nose, but after a little practice, it's easier.
Wrap them in a blanket, put them on the changing table, tie them down, then do the saline, bulb tool. I find that using twited corners of tissue really help.

Yes it is done by weight so call your doc to find out. However Tylenol will not help him breathe. You should call your doc, also a nasal aspirator works well to suck mucus out to help the baby breathe. Try a vaporizer and try to find a safe way to elevate his head, maybe sleeping in his car seat, that will help him breathe easier.

Tylenol is a pain releaver for headaches, pain, and fever, it does absolutely nothing for congestion..
and these days, doctors dont want to dope up babies like they did in the past 20years..
They will tell you to give plenty of fluids and use saline, and maybe use a cool air humidifier while they sleep.. Its fluids that will loosen up the stickiness.. and you just have to wait out the 10-15days of the cold..
Goodluck! and God bless that little one ^_^

Please take your baby to see his/her Ped. ASAP, this is RSV season, and there are several strains of flu/ and URI's going around. Tylenol doesn't treat congestion...I won't give you dosing information-you need to get off the computer and use the Nurse on Call.
ETA: DO NOT GIVE ANY OVER THE COUNTER MEDICATIONS WITHOUT DIRECT INSTRUCTION FROM A MD/DO/CPNP FOR A NEWBORN! To even tell somebody to do so is the stupidest thing I've seen in a long time.
