Slap their *** down and tell them you don't want to be working at McDonalds when you are 26 ,so they should shut up and learn something.

You say your are almost in junior high - does this mean you are in 5th grade? If you are, then you would be in the same classroom for every subject, except art, music, pe, and the likes. You need to ask the teacher, in private, to move your seat away from the talkers.
If you are in middle school/junior high (6th, 7th, 8th) make sure you get to class early enough so that you can choose a good place to sit. I would not suggest telling the talkers to keep it down becuase either you will be busted by the teacher for being a talker or you will get picked on. It sounds like your teacher has poor classroom management skills if this has been going on...does he/she try to do anything about it? Try talking to the teacher in private about your concerns.
I teach...sometimes I am not aware of things that might be going on in the back of the room. Also, we can't read minds, so you need to let your teacher know how your feel and how it is affecting your learning. If this does not work, talk to your school counselor.
Good luck!

You don't. Ignoring it just makes the problem worse. If you don't want to get in trouble, the best way is to acknowledge that there are distractions, and once your brain understands what's happening around it, it's a lot easier to filter that unnecessary stuff out and really focus on what you want to concentrate on. If people are directly talking to you, that's a different story. Asking them to stop isn't always the most successful approach and getting a teacher involved usually gets messy. If it's really bothering you, I found a nasty look will make the other person shut up quick, but that might be a bit drastic.

Just tell them to shut their mouth. You're trying to learn and if they aren't interested in what the teacher is saying then they can take a nap or just sit quietly, if they're mature enough to handle it.

Smile and tell them you're trying to hear the teacher. Or even better, make the action of cupping your ear to hear the teacher.
Just don't be rude about it.

shoosh them.. you know *shhhhh* or just wait til after class and ask them to stop talking while you're trying to listen and that you don't want to get in trouble. if you don't like that, just sit somewhere else!
