Okay, so for games that are built for using the wiimote ie Red Steel, is it only for the wiimote, or can you use their standard controller?
And for other games, do they all need the special controller? Or are some of the only useable with the standard? Im utterly confused. XD

All Wii games use the Wiimote. The standard controller is used to play NES, Super NES, N64, Turbo Grafix and Sega Genesis games that you can download. That is the whole point of the Wii is a new innovative way to play games.

Yup, he is right, the only time you would use a different controller is if you are playing games bought of of the wii download network, it is located right on top of the wii and has built in memory slots to save your game-cube games.
