1) Type "Atlas" in a search engine.
2) Pick an entry that looks like it is a world atlas.
3) Find Canada, and then Ontario, in the atlas. If you search around on the page a bit, you should be able to find the data you need.
Canada is around 9.9 million sq km, and Ontario is around 1 million sq km.

get a map..with scale on it.. (where it says 1 cm = 50 km like this)
make a parraleogram.. in which all of canada or ontario fits nicely..
find height and base in cms..
find area = hegiht x base
you would get that in cm^2
now.. if on the map it says 1 cm = 50 km
square this
so 1 cm^2 = 2500 km^2
and then
area of canda or ...would be = area (you found previously) x (2500 km^2 )
