Well he did broke his promise, Yea, I guess you should be mad about that, but who care what those other people know or not. The important thing is that you had guts to say you like him, and don't take your friend's bother comment to seriously, he just teasing you.

Anytime I have told someone not to tell that is the first thing they do. I would not tell anyone anything unless you want it repeated. Maybe this will turn out to be a good thing in the end.
