Remember that the choices you have made have given you the experiences that you have had and made you meet the people that you have met to this day. In essence they have created who you are. It sounds like you aren't feeling happy with who you are at the moment, but think about all of the friendships you have had in your life, think of all the amazing moments you have had, and think of all of the things that you have learned. Had you made a different decision along the way - depending on where, the entire course of your life from then on could have been changed.
Looking back, even if you think that you could've made a decision that would've made your life better, you don't know with certainty. Think of someone, on the way to the airport. He thinks he has extra time so he stops for some coffee. Ten minutes later when he gets back in his rental car, he finds out there has been an accident on the highway and that section of the highway has been shut down. He tries to take the back roads but no detour posts have been set up yet and he gets lost... by this time he is cursing himself to high heavens for stopping to get a coffee, because if he hadn't he would've been through there before the accident. By the time he gets to the airport his scheduled flight has left and all other flights are cancelled for the day. He has to stay an extra day before he can go home and see his children and they really really want to see him. Hours later while he's feeling agitated in his hotel room, he turns the tv on to see a plane wreck on the news. It turns out it was the plane he was supposed to be on. How is he feeling now? Thanking God that he stopped for coffee and that there was an accident and that he got lost so that he missed the flight.
This was an extreme example, but maybe you catch my drift.
This situation reminds me of a little children's book where there's a baby mouse (I think) who goes outside to play. He has all kind of problems tripping over things and falling down, falling into a hole, and other things. What he can't see that everyone who reads the book can see is that everytime something bad happens to him he actually is escaping a much worse fate be it a cat or a hawk or something that is about to kill him. When he finally gets home he tells his mom all of the bad things that happened to him, and she (with a sweet smile) tells him "It Could Have Been Worse."

So I guess that is what I am trying to say... even though you may look back on events in your life and think about things you feel you should've done or should not have done, don't worry so much about it. You can't control your life, even people who plan their lives out completely will have unexpected occurrences that will throw curveballs in their path. You never get the chance to go back and change anything in your life with what you know now, so remember that back then, you did what you thought you should do with what you knew then... and that's all you can pretty much do. So when tomorrow comes, live tomorrow the way you want to live it knowing what you know today.
(And, you always have the potential to be whoever you want to be... you don't have to do something the same way because you always have... you can always try something that you haven't yet tried just because you want to...)

Drop the regrets.

Acquire present moment thinking. Focus on the only thing that actually exists : NOW. The past is gone, you are wasting valuable time. Learn to live in the present & you will not regret it.

Peace,

;-)

You have to let the past go. What is done is done and you can not go back and change it. You might try apologizing to the ones you have done wrong to, but the ones that have moved on should be left alone. They have new lives now.

Just live the rest of your life as good as you are able to. Help as many people as you are able to. But stop beating yourself up. Just make up your mind to let it go. Then do it.

I agree, before you can move on you need to forgive yourself. Make amends if you can to the people that you may have hurt or what ever it may be. Start to live a life you can be proud of do the right things. I am not religious but read the bible it has many good lessons.

Forgive yourself. Write out what you regret and then tear it up in small pieces or burn it. Remind yourself that what's done is done and live life to the fullest.

Regret is one of the way we learn, it isn't a tragedy. It's okay, we all have them. don't be so hard on yourself. If we never regretted, we would never change.

ummmm. you might not be christian or catholic but i always ask GOD to forgive my sins. You could change the way things are going. if your having trouble talk about it with someone. someone you trust or it might go spreading around. you also could always wake up with a good attitude and think today is going to be a great new day. I hope I helped.

We all have regrets. Give it to God. Pray. I've been living in freedom since I accepted Jesus. Find a Christian church. God bless.
