I have an 8 year old son. DS is good for kids. PSP is definately more for adults. You can do much more with a PSP.

The DS is much, much greater for the video game aspect and both support wireless networking. The PSP is more like an I-pod because with a sufficent memory card you can carry movies, music and browse the internet (The DS can also browse the internet but the equipment is only available in Japan and Europe).
The PSP used to have a movie selection for it too, but poor sales led most stores to stop selling them.

I tell you what I have both of them, I like the PSP because the Graphics are incredilbe, the DS has the Old Skewl games, but as the person before said they both have wireless abilities...you can use ur PS2 to play thru the PSP. The PSP aslo doubles as MP3, Movies, Pictures & Wireless internet surfer..So much better, but to say both are very kewl to play. So either one can be just as fun...Good luck chosing

PSP has better graphics ad is more powerful, yet the DS has more creative games. Also, the PSP does't have may good games, just the two GTAs ad Lumines, for the most part.
