stained glass valuation is like the valuation of cars it must be seen by a dealer or an expert to really determine its value the workmanship, condition and the type of glass used plus the intricacy of design all weigh in here as does the possibility that it may be by someone well know check with a reputable stained glass shop and work you way up from there to an appraiser

More than likely your piece was done with lead cane work. Not like the copper foil that alot of people do today. It is less work and quicker. My suggestion to you would be to look up a place that deals in stained glass where you live. Not a glass place that is much different. People that deal in stained glass will be able to point you in the right direction and also perhaps find what pattern it came from and that will determine the date positively. The glass is probably alot different as well because it probably contains alot more lead than today's colored glasses do. If your piece has alot of red, then it will contain alot of gold in it so don't let them tell you that it isn't worth that much. Unless of course it is damaged considerably. So good luck and enjoy your search.

Go to a bookstore, Barnes & Noble, Borders, etc. They have books you can look it up without buying the book. The book may be in the antique or stained glass section.
