I got a 1.2 carat ring for my fiance for 10K. Reason is because it was near perfect from serveral appraisers. It all depends on the quality.

Depends on the quality, but I'd say that's pretty low. It must be a cheap diamond... or a cluster of 3 ct total weight, maybe? A singe stone at 3 carat, of average quality, should be a lot closer to 25k, or higher. a 2.3, you're looking at 15-20k, unless it's poor quality.

this depends on the clarity and cut of the ring. theres lots to consider you just can't choose any diamond and say that just by the weight does it have flaws whats the shape of the colour and clarity which grade is it.
