I have a 2002 honda accord vp. My mom washed the car and ever since the srs light has been on. Is there a way I can disable it or something?

SHE WASHED THE INSIDE OF THE CAR WITH WATER????? Take it to a shop immediately. Seriously, the driver and/or the passenger can be injured by the air bags. DO NOT try to disable it. The longer you wait, the more it will cost you.

Sabotage. Being that your Supplementary/Secondary Restraint System (SRS) or as an Air Cushion Restraint System (ACRS), light is on, it is most likely a computer response telling you something is wrong. Could be a fuse, or it could be the subcomputer running the system in a safe-mode where it will not deploy in event of an accident. Not to sure if a auto store will be able to tell you about anything wrong as most OBD II systems work only with Check Engine lights. Could just be the fuse. And I think it had nothing to do with the car wash, unless the bumper crash impact sensor located inside the front/rear bumper (if side impact, on the side too). One of the sensors could have been corroded to weather or even water crossed the exposed wires. Spend ten minutes and check under the car doing a visual inpection yourself and save yourself a dealer inspection (which could be 50 plus dollars if your not in warranty).

The srs light has to do with the air bag. washing the car shouldn't have had anything to do with it.

Any auto part store will scan the car for free and tell you what's wrong and how to fix it.

So is there any car buying/selling advice you need? I think there is a politics forum around here if you want to copy and paste or flat out move your post over there somehow...
