Get a block of cedar. I don't know if it kills them or what, but moths don't like it. Some stores cary cedar attached to a hanger to keep in your closet. I saw it at Bed Bath & Beyond by all the hangers and closet accessories...You could also try old fasioned moth balls, but the cedar smells a lot better.

Moth balls smell and work.
Cedar works and smells good and can be expensive.
Lavender works and smells good and can be cheaper. In the 18th and 19th centuries, lavender was used successfully to combat moths.

Moth balls. They are inexpensive and they work. They stink, but they work.

You could also consider fresh cedar wood chips or something similar.

If you want some dried lavender from my garden, let me know. akalvig@yahoo.com
