An internet cafe is always a good business in the Philippines. When I was in Davao about 5 years ago, cafe's were on every corner including malls. They were always packed....always! If you put up a cafe, the main thing you want to do is; 1. Choose a good location (make sure there are not any cafe's within a couple blocks). It may be difficult to impossible because there are rarely vacant office spaces around in Davao. You may have to settle for whats available. If this is the case; 2. Search within a 2 to 3 block radius to see what the competition is charging. Then depending what your cafe will look like and if anything sets you apart from anyone else, then make your adjustments for cost. 3. Ask yourself, "Would I be a steady customer here? If you would then thats a good start. Make it a place that you would go to if you were the customer. 4. Who will you be catering to? That depends on your location. Who youre catering to will determine how well your business will do. Kids love to play games on computers, teens to 20's and even into the 30 age group are IMing and corresponding with their foreign boyfriends and getting on Friendster, Myspace, facebook etc. You may want to think of setting a partition or a seperate room to divide the 2 groups. If you do, this will set you apart from most internet cafe's, which means you can charge a little more than your competition because of the ambiance. These are just my ideas, I hope this helps. Good luck! I miss Davao!!

Yahoo is a web page/ search engine...so it should be accessible anywhere in the world provided that:

1. you have internet access
2. the website is not banned by your computer's firewall or your ISP (internet service provider)

As for looking for an ISP in Davao, i believe that you should find a lot of plans/rates to choose from: from the regular prepaid dial-up to a post-paid dial plan to maybe even broadband (like PLDT DSL and Smart Wi-Fi). Try contacting your local cable/telephone companies for inquiries.

Enjoy!

Sure. There's PLDT (national phone co.) dialup service and DSL, and Smart Wi-Fi which I use and probably extends to Davao.
