If age were just a number, there would not be a legal drinking age, or you wouldn't have to wait until 65 to retire. Age is a societal label placed on each of us telling us what we are and are not allowed to do by law.

No. Life is a journey. Older people like me are farther down the path than you.
That does not mean we are better than you. It just means we started before you and have been through many of the things that you will soon experience before you.
Enjoy the all the seasons of your life.
I did. And find your own path. Drink life up. That is as it is meant to be.
