Once a scientist tried to calculate it by math, he said that only in our galaxy there are about 100 million suns, our sun has 9 planets to follow, while other suns could have more or less, so he said that each star could have 5 planets medium, this makes 500 million planets in our galaxy , medium , then he said that 1 of each 100 planet could be warm like ours , this makes 5 million planets , and one of each 100 of those , could have suitable gravity and atmosphere and so a sort of life , this makes 50 thousand planets , and one of each 100 of those has some forms of intelligent life, this makes it 500 planets only in our galaxy.

but the equation is much easier, our earth is like a grain of sand in its own solar system , why could it be the only form of intelligent life host in the whole universe ?

I believe that some sorts of intelligent life on other planets are asking the same question of yours, and they could never know that we even exist.

So far we've seen no verifiable evidence of other sentient species. That said, I believe with some certainty that somewhere in our galaxy at some past, present, or future time, a sentient species did/does/will exist.

Why haven't we heard from them?

Perhaps they are not technologically advanced enough to be heard. They may be mastering stone knives right now, or experiencing their own Rennaisance.

Perhaps they are here right now. Any species sufficiently advanced to travel interstellar distances would be able to hide or masquerade with ease. That Boeing 737 that just flew by may be a surveillance craft.

Perhaps they are so far away they will never notice us and vice versa.

Perhaps they existed a million years ago and died out.

Perhaps they will exist a million years from now.

It is really impossible to know for sure.

The Drake Equation suggests that there is sentient life out there. The Fermi Paradox casts doubt. Play around with the calculation form at the second link and see what you think.

This is the one of the unsolved mysteries the scientists are trying to solve.Recently there were lots of rumors regarding this question . Scientists them selves r in dilemma about this question.
But i think there will be, since in other galaxies there will a body like sun & there will be a planet like earth where the life exits.
Past i.e; before 12 to 14 years there was a news that a flying sasor entered the atmosphere of our earth , by this information it is clear that aliens are in the universe.

I do think extraterrestrial beings (aliens) exist because, the universe is a big place. We can't be the only ones in it. The most likely example of aliens are microscopic since alien civilizations might have existed before us or might exist after us. Anyway, I think aliens exist, but not in the form we imagine them or when we imagine them.

To give you a feeling of just how small and insignificant we are, you should try looking at the hubble deep field and ultra deep field images.

There are billions and billions of galaxies, each containing billions and billions of stars, and billions of billions of planets.

Odds are 99.999999999999999999999.....% that another form of life exists out there somewhere. The problem is trying to contact it, or it trying to contact us.

The distances between stars is enormous, and the distances between galaxies orders of magnitude moreso. Our oldest television transmission has barely made it to the nearest stars.

Unless we come up with some serious technology, life elsewhere will remain a practical mathematical certainity but never known in reality. Unless there is life elsewhere within our solar system.

Of course! the guy across the street from me is from El salvador!
(So am I so i shouldn't say nuthin') seriously though, this galaxy has 100 million stars in it, maybe two hundred and there are at least 24 other galaxies out there, probably more to discover as we expand, so why should we not eventually unite? if there ever was some underlying purpose that we are here, why not to be here and take part in all the fruits that all the possible QM universes have to offer us?
life has shown itself to be far less fragile than we thought. we have lasted out several extinctions. why would'nt they, out there?

you would be very foolish to believe this is the only place with intelligent life. We are nothing but a speck of dust as shown from outer space.

DEFINITELY! I think there is other life (don't like the term "aliens"... sounds derogatory) out there. It's absolutely insane and quite pretentious to think that we are oh so special as to be the only living beings ever to exist. I mean, Andromeda, the closest galaxy to our Milky Way, which is 2.3-2.5 MILLION light years away, could be flourishing with life. Just because we can't explore doesn't mean that other life doesn't exist.

Yes, I do. There is a big universe out there. It is selfish and anthropocentric to believe that Earth is the only planet to have life on it. There are countless numbers of planets out there. Many can support life and do have life. Many of these planets can have intelligent life on them.

The universe is far too large for other worlds to not have any type of life form on them.
