No you cant feel the babys heartbeat by doing that, but at around 26 weeks, the dad or whomever can press their ear up against the belly and hear the heartbeat like that. Heard that on Discovery channels in the womb.

At 14 weeks you will not be able to feel your baby's heartbeat. Your baby is too small. In fact, the doctor might not yet be able to hear your baby's heartbeat, even with a doppler, a special listening device. A heartbeat can generally be heard with a stethoscope at 18-20 weeks. I have never known anyone to actually be able to feel a baby's heartbeat. Any heartbeat you feel by placing your hand on your belly will be your's because your descending aorta is there. No, you will not interfere with anything by touching your belly.

I am a mother of three and just so you know, you won't be able to feel the babies heartbeat that way. And I wouldn't go pressing down on your tummy b/c that could definately cause a problem. Just go buy a baby heartbeat monitor, that would be better.

You're not interfering with anything--but you won't be able to feel the baby's heartbeat like that, either.

i'm guessing you pressed your finger on your belly and felt a pulse? it's not interfering with anything, but it is not your baby's heart beat. when you're pregnant your body gets extra blood volume to go to the placenta for the baby. i've noticed while i'm pregnant i can feel my pulse almost anywhere because of the extra blood flow.

You can press your belly, but you won't feel the babies heartbeat, just your own.

You won't be able to ever feel the baby's heart beat, but in a few months you may be able to hear it with a stethoscope.

And no, you're not interfering with anything

in many situations round 12-14 weeks is once you "end feeling" pregnant. in many situations no extra morning affliction, in spite of the indisputable fact that it remains too early to experience the toddler shifting for reassurance. With my 1st son, i did not experience pregnant in any respect until eventually i ought to experience him shifting and he's a proper 10 month previous. when you're rather concerened call your healthcare professional, they are in many situations very sturdy at reassuring you, yet i'm particular each and every thing is tremendous! sturdy success.

You won't be able to feel the baby's heartbeat, so don't be doing anything like that, you can try a stethoscope though
