I had a dream that's been bothering me all my life, both in the good way and the bad way. I dreamed that somebody said 'I love you' while driving me in a car up in the clouds. I've been wondering for four years now if I should tell that person, but I don't want to create unnecessary drama and be awkward.
I think it might be best to keep this a secret in the 'real world' of course, but I just don't know. This person makes me feel like a little boy inside though, so wonderful and happy and pure in the truest sense of the words, but I just don't think we'll be together in this lifetime, realistically speaking.
It seems like any advice I get about this, at least to my face would just irritate me because I'm very sensitive about it and it's like no matter what people tell me I wouldn't agree with it probably and would just ignore them so it's hard to get help with this. (isn't that annoying when that happens? lol

There could be an abundance of reasons you had such a dream. It might help you to pick up the book, The Interpretation of Dreams by Sigmund Freud to help you better understand dreams themselves first. Also, the advent of most dreams lies in what you did recently, that is, just before having the dreams in waking life. So, perhaps you were driving that day before the dream and almost got into a very serious accident, or perhaps saw one? Something like that... of course it could mean something totally different. Also, because most dreams have to do with personal conflicts in your life, that is, they help you better deal with waking life, it could be a way your mind is "helping you" deal with something that challenges you in your waking life. Sounds like you have a number of things you need to resolve. Don't waste any more time, talk to this person. If it does not work out the way you'd hope, at least that person will know where you stand. It will also release you to other concerns you have about everyone else in your life. Get out there, be yourself, people already love you for who you are. If you do not go forward you'll get "stuck" in the time warp of your life. That's no fun.

Without regards to your dream.... this person that you OBVIOUSLY have some feelings for.... you need to tell them.... but be sure you do not put pressure on them or anything that would come between your friendship. In other words... if you do not know how this person feels.... just state that you do sincerely and deeply care for them... but you are adult enough to know that even if there is someone you care about.... life may not be conducive for a relationship and that being friends, you are willing to accept even if you wish there could be more.
I know this you are describing because I have a friend... a best friend... a girl... that I deeply care about but well aware that she and I would always be just friends.... but never have regrets in your life... be mature and sincere about it... I have.... she knows I would love to be more with her but we may never be...

I think you answered your own question. The dream is obviously the same as in real life. You can't fly into the clouds with your car, just the same as you know you can't act on your feelings here.
