You always see them on the sidelines picking up a phone after a drive or play or wahtever. who are they talking to and why?

they are talking to the coaches upstairs to tell them what they saw , how the play developed ,why it worked, stuff like that that only the quarter back would see and recognize

Offensive coordinators and QB coaches are usually up in the press boxes watching the game from on high......they talk about what the are seeing up high and letting the QB know what to expect

Sometimes I turn mine off because I do not feel like talking. The ringing cell phone can sometimes add stress to life. When you call her, just leave a message saying HI, that way she can't say you never call.

That's a good question. I've always wondered that myself. It made me giggle to think who they might be on the phone with like maybe they called up their mom "hey mama did you see me? I just scored!"
