I saw a movie a few years ago, and I can't for the life of me remember what it's called. It's about a little boy who is physically disabled (in the movie he has blonde hair, glasses and is either in a wheelchair or has leg braces). The entire movie centers around him and his friend.
Towards the end of the movie, the disabled boy and his friend are helping on a field trip for younger kids, and there's an accident .. the school bus is in the water, and the disabled boy helps some of the kids to safety. He contracts (I think) pneumonia from the ordeal though, and I believe he dies at the end of the movie.
Any idea what this is?

OMG!! its simon birch.. <3 that movie... i cried when me and my friends watch it.. id give anything to watch it aigin.. the video store near where i live dosen't have it anymore.. but yeah i love that movie.

I beleive the movie you are after is Freak the Mighty, well actually the movie based on that book. It is about a cripled kid and his buddy. He dies in the end. I don't remember the bus but there is a van close to the end, he dies of heart trouble.
