I don't think you are overweight. Given your information your ideal weight should range between 111 to 150. Keep the exercise and good nutrition if you know there is a family tendency, but you should not be worry about dieting.

ok..first of all..ignore Mr. David Price..he's phishing for money and certainly didn't make any attempt to answer your question.

As to whether you are overweight or not what would really be necessary to determine the answer is what kind of body frame you have. Bone structure is different in every person and 5ft person with a large frame might well carry 20lbs more weight then a 5ft person with a small frame and still not be overweight..so keep that in mind.

You mentioned that you have little body fat..that is a good indication that you are not overweight...generally people that are overweight look it, and know it.

At 12 years old your best bet for beating the odds with regards to your mom's recessive fat gene is to develop a good, healthy diet. Plenty of fruits and vegetables...and so on. Keep exercising regularly too, this is as important as the good diet. If you get used to good diet and exercise this early in life and make it a habit, then your chances of being obese in later life are far less. It IS possible to beat the fat gene if you stick to a good plan.

Lastly, I would say..make sure you don't obsess over this. The fact that you are worrying about this at 12 is rather scary. There should be bigger and better things on your mind right now..school, friends, activities.

Yes, you are according to your age but don't be discouraged. You just have to watch what you eat and how much you eat and try not to eat late at night. Try drinking plenty of water instead of sodas. Eat more fruits and vegetables instead of fast foods.

it is little bit more than the average weight. It is ideal to keep below 132 pounds. you can go for some physical excercise like walking and cycling etc.
