I know i am. i just joined and realized that most of the questions are just jokes and immature and the answers are insults and not serious!

Not really. All kinds of people use this site for all kinds of reasons. Some are here to have fun and some are here because they seriously need information. Some of us like to answer fun questions and some of us like to answer serious questions. Some of us like a mixture of both. What a dull world it would be if we all liked the same thing and looked at the world in the same way. I ignore the questions and answers that don't interest me and try to always be respectful in answering questions. Enjoy your YA experience, and despite its quirks and foibles, this is still a pretty neat site.

Yes cool nerd, I just started also and am appalled at the lack of intelligent questions and answers. Ahhh, let's see what could I say now that would sound serious or intelligent. Geez, guess I'm just as banal and uninformed as the rest of these geeks.

Go to another section then. Polls and surveys is generally a fun kinda category, but there are plenty of others that are serious. Try "Religion" and "Politics". They don't take kindly to jokes, I've noticed.

Every once in awhile I'll read something hilarious.
And the ones that aren't funny...
we'll, at least they're trying.

Yahoo has it good and bad sides, you can find intelligent questions and you can get intelligent answers.
But you have to look for the questions and hope for the answers.
And overlook the immature, vulgar, and stupidity.

I find that's not so much the case in the religious section, it tends to get a bit nasty. The philosophy is it bit weighty, beauty; redundant, I suppose these are my favorite kinds of questions. Thank you.
