I believe that singing and speech are controlled by different parts of the brain.

I used to think that was true as well, but it is not always that way. Depeche Mode and the Spice Girls are two examples of recordings by artists where the native accent is very apparent.sometimes.

Noboby has an accent when they sing. Could say the same when an American sings, Singers don't have accents when they sing

They fake the accent for us stupid Americans. We expect it, so they talk like that till we are gone, then they laugh at us.
