Dilation and Curettage (D&C)

This method is similar to the suction method with the added insertion of a hook shaped knife (curette) which cuts the baby into pieces. The pieces are scraped out through the cervix and discarded.

They simply reject any ideation that the unborn IS a HUMAN BEING and ignore the rights of the unborn. You will hear them equate the child to a parasite, blob of cells, or any other term that de-humanizes the infant, so killing is somehow sanitized. No problem. No worries. The Nazis did the same thing to the Jews preceding and during the Holocaust.

I somehow am inclined to believe if the Liberals could figure out a way to secure votes from the fetuses voting block for the DNC, the fetuses might be able to save themselves, but they can't.

I was pro-life for most of my young life--truth be told, I still am--but as an adult I have gained more sympathy for pro-choice women. People from a wealthier background have a hard time understanding how catastrophic a pregnancy can be on the life of a less fortunate woman, with few opportunities and no support structure.

If you believe that a fetus is a baby, then abortion and its various methods are pretty horrifying, but a lot of people are raised to believe that a fetus is just extraneous tissue, like a tumor, until birth or shortly before. In that case, abortion becomes just another surgery correcting a medical problem, and who would take away a woman's right to life-altering surgery?

I am one of those liberals your talking about, I guess, for me its simple, the woman is the person that should make the decision because she is the one that's life, health and future is at stake. for those reasons alone I feel that the pregnant woman should be given the choice. Is the unborn child's rights being violated, I feel that an unborn child , though very precious, does not get the final say in weather it should be born or not. I feel that this is a very personal decision, that should involve the immediate family and maybe a close friend. A female should never be turned into a "baby making machine" where she is forced to risk her health and life to bring a child into this world. Its a sad decision to have to make, I hope my children never find themselves there, but if they did, I would council them "not to have the abortion" but if they chose diffrently, I would support them in whatever decision they ultimately made and never judge them for it. Its not up to me, or you or anyone to JUDGE another person, that's Gods job. and only God should met out punishment on this issue, at least that's how I feel. I think everyone else should live a good life and practice forgiveness.
Hope this helped.

Well this is basically it supposedly abortion is the radical movement that woman still have control of there bodies. When you go thru the abortion process the baby doesnt feel a thing, it takes about 3 hours and u walk rite out. Its a minor surgery for a major problem. The government cannot force people to have kids. Lets say hypothetically (sp) you get pregnant and dont have the funds to raise a baby, you must drop out of high school to support a baby that u dont want, you would blame your problems on the baby rite? Isnt that somewhat opening a window for child abuse? I think so. Adoption houses are flushed there isnt enough room for any more children so most likely they will move from foster home to foster home and grow up with not enought atteniion. Also i control my body i do with it what i want, if i dont want a baby i wont have it, nobodies business but mine :]

I wonder how many pro-choice advocates have looked at the pictures like those on that website, and read a description of the abortion processes. I believe in reason over emotion, but in this case, how can someone not be disturbed by the pictures. But even after the emotions, the pro-choice arguments ring of rationalizations. It's a woman's body, she has the right to choice, unwanted children, etc. All rationalizations for a person who doesn't want to be inconvenienced by a baby.

Ah a little update that is illegal to do abortions like that now a days. You are only allowed to get it done within the first couple months and if you wait to long then there are laws that say you have to have the baby. And it is clearly been proven that in the beginning when they do the abortion it is a bunch of cells!! and nothing more than that!!

Is it alright for religious fanatics and fat, old politicians to sit around and think about my uterus? Isn't that my concern? I am not thinking about their body parts, so where is their right to legislate what I am going to do with mine? What if for one year all of the pro-life money went to child protective services? This would be a good use of all those millions of dollars spent. They could give grants to foster families to take in an additional child. But no! Pro-lifers are so obsessed about another woman's reproductive organs that they carry signs, hold rallies, and judge all women. You need to get your little mind onto something that belongs to you that you can control, not another person's private parts. How sick!?

Don't people like you get it? All "liberals" do not agree in killing a child. Pro-choice means that the woman is allowed to have a say in whether they want to have the child or not. I am so sick and tired of seeing people on here say liberals love to kill children or liberals have no moral. It is actually many of YOU who have no morals. Have YOU or the people who agree with YOU have adopted many of the children who were born, but not wanted? It's funny now-a-days that the "in" thing to do is adopt from Asian, African, or European countries, yet get on Yahoo! Answers stating they are tired of seeing unwanted children on Welfare.

What do you have to say about that?????

Erm... Yeah... I'll take your word for it.

Abortion is murder however you spell it, and it is my opinion that you CANNOT truly support this gruesome proceedure unless YOU YOURSELF are willing to take a drill or knife and stick it into the head of an infant, because this is EXACTLY what abortion doctors do...

Personally, I think those doctors who perform abortions should lose their liscences. A doctor takes an oath to SAVE lives, NOT to take the innocent life of children who cannot stand up for themselves...

Yet abortion (which was NEVER made legal by the people or by the legislature/executive branch) is one of the pillars of liberalism! And I have yet to see ONE person adequately defend it. Even Norma McCorvy, the "Roe" of Roe V. Wade is now a LEADER in the anti-abortion/pro-life fight! Does this not SAY something folks?!

It's not just liberals, it's common sense. The only reason to not think that way is because you read the Bible/listen to preachers and obey what it/they say about god owning every life and that we have no right to make any decisions about life.

Well the bible is a lie and I do have the right to make such decisions using my mind and reason. And I've decided that the evidence is in favor of this reasonable conclusion: It's an awful thing, but the alternative is worse. And the choice lies with the mother, because it's not enough to exist, you have to be wanted.
