You've always had a good enough squad to win the championship. But somehow they always seem to not function well as a team and then screw up. England has some of the best players in the world but when it comes down to the nitty-gritty (aka World Cup where England was just HORRIBLE) you don't produce the performance needed. It is not because the other team got lucky or you had a "bad day", it is because the other teams are genuinely better than you in the fact that they play better together and more importantly put on the performance and score the goals that are needed.

Ya!!!! We have a good enough squad, but the problem is we 've to play 4-5-1 formation so that either carrick or Hargreaveas has to sit in doing defensive work and Gerrard and Lampard attacking. But if Michael Owen returns, then it will be 4-4-2 with Rooney and Owen and it is difficult to decide whom to rest either Gerrard or Lampard coz if they both r played then it wud leave the midfield quite open and the defense wud start conceding goals. So the only problem is that we 've a great squad but difficult to choose the midfielders for the eleven.

I believe England are good enough to win the Euro Championship in 2008, because we do have a good crop of players coming through, but there is only one person that will stop us from winning it, and that is Steve McClaren.

I believe England has a strong enough squad to win it but needs a manager with a better track record.

We got the players. I think the main problem is the unrealistic expectations of a lot of fans and pundits.

The more the side is expected to win games, the more pressure it puts the players under. Isn't that football now though.

When things go badly for the side, a lot of fans don't seem to rally behind them as they should.

I have never been a pro but if I had a lot of fans on MY back, I would probably play like it.

Nuff said?

Of course we do. The problem is,whenever the England team arrives in the Host Country to start preparing, the Press and Media go out of their way to try and 'dig up some dirt'on the England team, thereby undermining their confidence and self belief. ....It's as though they don't want us to win! ....Then they wonder why results don't go our way, which is because the players concentration has been diverted.
They should be getting behind the team, rather than undermining their confidence.

i think of England stands an rather sturdy hazard to win the international Cup. they have many large gamers and an excellent coach who is familiar with the thank you to tutor large communities. yet I do think of that it will advance into puzzling for England to be a severe contender for the Euro 2012. basically bear in mind that many gamers are already pushing age 30 or exceeding it and that i see little new gamers so far enjoying for communities like Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea etc that could take their spots. i think of after 2010 England will pay the cost for determining to purchase too many gamers for his or her league as they won't have adequate celebrity gamers anymore themselves.

mmm...I don't know...Currently, no. Maybe once the tournament comes around though, England might have what it takes. That gives the squad some time to really get comfortable playing together and becoming better.

Of coarse! The only problem with England this past world cup was their coach and beckham. With Rooney in form we will conquer Europe and the World!!!!
