What can I do in Vegas?

I'm a minor(16) and it's my first time going to Vegas. It's just my mom and I taking off to Vegas for Christmas. We are staying at the Stratophere hotel and I know about the roller coaster but what else can i do while my mom is off gambling?

Well, there is plenty to do. There is a hotel called Circus Circus, it will be fun for you and your mom. She can gamble and you can be up stairs playing games like at the fair. There at the Circus Circus Hotel there is another area that has rides that you just might like. ( a couple of roller coaster rides). There is also bowling in some hotels too. Also there is a place called Game Works, they have nothing but video games of all types. I hope you enjoy your stay in Vegas........I know my Children did.

There's lots of great things to do in Vegas that don't require you to be 21. But you asked about what to do while your mom gambles...

I'll go with Circus-Circus as people have already mentioned, or maybe Excalibar with its arcades etc. If you're stuck at the Stratophere; well after you've done the arcade and whatever else the hotel has to offer, you're probably stuck going back to your room and watching tv or reading a book because like someone already mentioned, the Stratophere is on the end of the strip near some not-too-great areas.

If your mom just has to gamble, try to get her to play Keno at your restaurant table. That way you can both pick numbers and enjoy yourselves together.

the roller coaster is not there no more but theres 3 other rides on top of the stratoshere and dont leave that hotel alone at night its right smack in the middle of ghettoville with bums and weirdos everywhere they call it naked city in the day you can walk to circus circus and they have a all day pass for the carnival inside go to there website to see it and when you get to your hotel look in some vegas books for discount coupons for circus circus i go there all of the time i could go on and on about vegas

there are plenty of shows to watch, celine dion, stand up comedy, cirque de soleil and magic show. there are lots of shops and outlet near the area as well, or even arcade inside the hotel for minor to keep you busy...then, how about checking out the madame tussuad wax museum, the strip have a nice array of sights to take picture with and plenty buffet place to enjoy with..

in the afternoon watch bellagio fountain show, the gondola ride in venetian, the shops surrounding caesar's palace, at night in paris eiffel tower, stroll along new york new york, watch the pirate show in the mirage together with some pyrotechnic along the top of the volcano..since you already aware of stratosphere, you got the scenery up above all....

Gambling is like doing drugs. People love to rant on their winnings and never speak of their losses. Go to see the Hoover Dam and it's history while you are there. Take in a show or two and eat a lot...

Tell your mom to take a break from the tables and take you out to Red Rock. You can go hiking, lots of great photo opps and rock climbing if that is your thing. It is beautiful.

go to the arcade, also the hilton, sahara, and circus circus has interesting things like star trek experiance which is really fun even if your not a fan of star trek, indoor amusmant park, etc
