if you know of any lizards or gecko's that are 12inches or less then tell me. Are Petco, Petpeople, or Petmart good stores to buy them at and do they have them? I would prefer to get a leopard gecko. what do you think? which one is cheaper?

Try NOT to get a gecko at a chain petstore (like petsmart, petco). Instead, try to find a breeder. Try kingsnake.com and see if you can find some leos for sale in your area.

Petstores tend to have unhealthy geckos and do not care for them properly. Plus, they are WAY more expensive than from a breeder.

Other geckos you could look into would be crested geckos or fat-tailed geckos. However, leos are definitely easiest to find, care for and breed.

Good luck!

Leopard Geckos are sold at both PetsMart and Petco.
They CAN be good stores to buy from, if the animals are properly cared for (varies with every store).
Look online for signs of a healthy Gecko, and take that list with you, to the pet-store.
They cost around $25-30 dollars.

I believe Fence Lizards (aka Blue Bellies/Swifts) are within the same price range. $20+

Well you can get a leperd gecko or a green tree gecko. thee tree gecko's are cheaper but they get really boring. leperd gecko's are more expensive and a lot more fun. A western fence lizerd is a lizerd not for sale in a pet store. they are only cought in the wild. and a good pet store is Petco. it is nice because it is more of a garntee.

reptileauctions.com have a wide variety of geckos and lizards you can bid on. It's the Ebay of reptiles. I would suggest if you find a lizard that intrigues you to make sure you contact the owner and get the pet's history.
