something like a coffee house, with live performances and everything...is that too mature of an idea? and should it be open all week or only on weekends?

I think it's a great idea. When I was a teenager (I'm 25) there was a coffee house that had a teen club in the back room. The place was called Common Grounds. I loved that place.
They had bands on the weekends and throughout the week there was a poetry night, open mic night, and various other events.
Having cool places for kids to get into things they love and hang out and still be safe is always a great idea. It just takes allot of work.

Its not a bad idea. they have something on that order in the city where i live. Theres a coverage charge and depending on the nights activities range from 10 to 25 dollars. Just young adults dancing and mingling. No gang gear is allowed and everyone is checked at the door for any type of weapons. The only serve non-alcholic drinks and its really not bad. at least it keeps them off of the streets and out of trouble. Oh and they have different kinds of contest and ticket give aways

It sounds very good...in fact great! It should be open after school and on weekends....it could possibly keep kids out of trouble!!It sounds fun and great...I would definitely go there!

I do.. teens need something to do ya know.. and clubs and bars are just not for them. we have a coffee house in our town and live music, it is such a great place for them to hang out.

hey that's exactly how i want my restaurant/deli/lounge to be, hey you'll be on my invite list.. its gonna open in 2 to 3 yrs tho... when I'm 17 cuz right now i cant handle so much responsibility .... yay

thats a great idea!! it would be kool if u could have local musicians perform. u should start sumthing like that.
