I have a wooden statue of a possible ancient Mexican Indian soldier. How do I find out for sure what it is?

It appears to be hand carved and is made from dark wood. It is not painted and stands about 2 foot tall. He is standing and has a spear and a shield. He is only about 4 inches wide and 3 inches deep.

karen the best thing to do it to put out a picture on the web and ask if anyone can id it for you dscriptions in words give only the barest of details also think "antique road show" like sites that id stuff all the time good luck with it it sounds very interesting
