My personal fav is Brasil (http://houston.citysearch.com/profile/9842483). Coffee, sandwiches, desserts, wine, beer, art, and live music. Very bohemian.

Next choice would be Onion Creek (http://www.onioncreekcafe.com/) in the Heights. Good food, coffee, and beer.

I'm not a big tea drinker, but Greenberry (http://www.greenberrys.com/locations_houston.php) is pretty cool. There is also Teavana (http://www.teavana.com/shop.axd/StoreLocations#state_tx) with 3 locations in the Houston area. Teavana is a little pricey, the rest are reasonable.

Whole Foods and Central Market have a decent selection of tea leaves and coffee beans, if you want to brew at home.

Agora on Westheimer is very cool. I live in Dallas but many of my friends from college live in the Houston area. We went there for a friend's birthday a couple of years ago and had a great time. Its not your average coffee shop -- Definitely something to check out.

Don't remember it being too terribly pricey -- but as I said -- it's been a while!

I really like Deidrich's on Hazard and Westheimer. It's not pricey and you can either sit outside and enjoy your coffee or walk down Westheimer and do some shopping.

I believe it's called Brazil's. It's in Montrose. They serve everything from brunch to deserts. GREAT hot chocolate!

Barnie's. They are as reasonable as Star Bucks. I think they are better.
