I ALWAYS wish I still have an attic fan. When I was a kid my parents turned on the attic fan and we would open our windows. My bed was right next to the window and I would sleep with the cool breeze blowing across my face and the sound of the fan would lull me to sleep. Imagine how much electricity we would save if we didn't have to run the AC and used an attic fan instead.

My house has an attic fan. I'll be getting a new one soon because some roof work needs to be done in the area where the exhaust cap is located. I have trees around the house, and the attic fan, and a couple of window air conditioners, and my house is very comfortable in the summertime.

My most favorite house I ever lived in had an attic fan! It really kept the house cool in the hot summer, when the temps hit over 100 in the shade. We didn't have a/c. We had trees and fans to keep it cool, oh and the creek! It hasn't been that long ago, about 15 years or so. I really miss that house. I was care taking it for a man who was a teacher and travelled abroad. Good memories. Thanks!!! Nana

I know of an attic fan in a house and it sure helps in the summer. The ones you mentioned sound more like wind tunnels!

There is still one in my grandmother's house. I loved when it was on, I could sleep like a bear when it was running. I don't remember anything about the windows only that you needed to have them open for the air to circulate.

i advise preserving him interior as a lot as plausible in the course of the finest component to the day.you ought to purchase a nozzle for the hose that has a "mist " placing, you do not ought to spray him instantly, in spite of the indisputable fact that this is going to cool the encompassing air see you later by way of the indisputable fact that's contained in the colour. He likely gained't like a kiddie pool if he would not like water yet you may attempt it, my canines loves hers. There are "cool coats" accessible with the help of puppy catalogs to boot as pads to position on. dogs cool themselves with the help of the pads of their ft and with the help of panting, so preserving his pads and abdomen cool is extra powerful than wetting him from above. it really is why dogs dig holes to shop cool. If he overheats, you may cool him quick with the help of employing rubbing alcohol on his pads (i have seen it performed with the help of emergency rescue workers) because it evaprates quick and attracts warmth away. under no circumstances positioned an overheated canines in a bathtub of icewater, it may reason marvel.
