compared to the rest of the world and even the United State's own literacy rate, I would say anyone who made it past the 4th grade and can read is educated. There are so many people who don't make it through high school or even the ninth grade, so comparatively I would say that I am educated. I would also give credit to the rest of the answerers and you, the question asker, as being educated. As for the person who says that she would consider herself educated with university classes but not with a high school diploma, let me just say that there are university classes that are less difficult than some high school classes. It is true.

I do consider myself educated. I'm an avid reader. I read everything. I read college textbooks when I was in high school. I never went to college, I can't stand the conformity of attending formal classes. I'm educated enough to know that I'll never know everything and the things I do know pale in comparison to the scale of what there is yet to learn.

I graduated from high school, but no. I'm not going to consider myself educated until I've taken a few university courses.

Yes.

Schooling is important as it provides an opportunity to become educated. But not everyone who goes to school is educated.

There is always more to learn. An education allows you to continually increase your knowledge in those things that are important to you or interest you.

Enough to know that stripped boxers don't really work well with a fall jacket. I would recommend pants to anyone thinking of going out looking like that. (HaHaHa just kidding)
