Horoscopes are vague, so their vagueness lets them be somewhat accurate.

NO. They are general statements, and when you remember back on the horoscope, you remember all the things that are "true" and forget all the false predictions.
If they were accurate, we'd never have a 9/11 or a Black Friday on the stock market.
They are helpful, though, because you notice what is bothering you. For example, my horoscope says " You're at a fork in the road. One path requires taking immediate action. The other isn't quite clear, but will require a lot of patience and waiting. If you're not ready, don't rush. You'll know when the moment is right. "
Well, this is good general advice, but don't we face forks in the road everyday? Should I stay on the computer answering Yahoo questions, or should I go put the tree up? I could easily fit this situation to my horoscope -- yahoo answers means patience and waiting, but I could get to the next level if I do it. OTOH, putting up the tree means I need to go out and clean the foyer right now so I can do it today. Wouldn't this advice fit anyone?
So, you can see what is *bothering* me today (-:. I think thinking about horoscopes help a person define what is important to themselves. But, it's also easily misread.
(-:, now, I'm turning off the computer and getting the foyer cleaned up. Not because my horoscope said so, but because it's the right thing to do. I know it! LOL!

Horoscopes are really true and accurate if you get them professionally done by giving them your birthdate, time, and place of birth. You would have to give them the correct information. Llewellyn is a good place to get horoscopes based off of your birthchart. There address is 2143 Wooddale Dr., Woodbury, MN 55125. Their phone number is 1-800-THE-MOON. Their horoscopes are 80-95% accurate.

Once you read a horoscope, you will expect what they tell you. If you don't expect anything, like me, and read your horoscope at the end of the day, you'll know if it's true. For me, the horoscopes are pretty real, though for my friend none of it is. We both used the same strategy above.

They are completely fake. They are very general statements used only for the purpose of profit.
