I am kinda getting sick of iPod cases. I've been through three.
One screwed up the look of my scroll wheel
I tried a second one...One of those film covers that began to stop sticking around the corners of the iPod
My third is pretty good, those rubber Evo3 skins. but they make my iPod bulky so I have to remove it when I am plugging it in to speakers.
also because the wheel is covered in rubber, it doesn't work as well, because it is sorta streched a little bit.
I use my iPod on a daily basis for bus rides to and from school in town.
How is it like for unprotected iPods? Is it safe? are you extra careful? Are the scratches severe, etc.?

Try a hard clear case. Right now I am using the Griffin iClear.
I would recommend the new Claro or a Contour case for a ipod w/ video.

You can also chose from hundreds at, http://www.thinkdifferentstore.com/index.php/cPath/170_176?osCsid=ae73bd689c3d1116a528ca11d09fae2b

I tried it for a little while because I HATE my case. Its really big and bulky like you said and when ever i try to change the volume i change songs because of the wheel cover. The back of my iPod is all scratched from leaving it out of the case. My friend tried to and the back of hers is scratched even worse and she dropped it once and it actually chipped a piece of the corner off. I would try a skin with no wheel cover, one that says you can plug it in without removing it. You might want to look on Amazon cause they have a big selection and people who have it review and tell you whats bad and good.

I used to, but I kept dropping it and it finally broke. The scratches aren't terrible, but they do add up over time if you aren't careful. If you're still interested in the cases, my brother got me a good cover for Christmas; it opened on top and was cloth, which made it easy to remove. There are lots of cute ones- you can get them wherever iPods are sold or, if you have more money to spend, at a place like Coach.

I dont have a case on my ipod video but I am extra careful with it. You dont have to be like "Oh my gosh dont touch my ipod it will get scratched" It wont scratch that easily. The other day I dropped my iPod on a concrete parking lot floor and nothin happened. It has no scratches and works fine. I agree the cases do get in the way so i have no case for mine. Please give me the best answer! Thank you very much!

first of all a nano always needs a case video you could get away with it if its older than that then who cares but seriosly nano's just need a dollar walmart case as long as it has a screen protecter if it is a video then id sugest a thick case of fabric these are protective and usually have screen protecters and they are also easy to remove
