Silent Hill?

I just watched silent hill and i didnt get it at alL!?! like...i actually payed attention.....can someone plz tell me the story in like a short summary....and i dont get the end..they go home...and everything is still foggy..then the husband finds the door open but there gone.......im soo confused.lol plzz tell me

The Simplist thing I can say is that while at Silent Hill they slipped onto another plane of exsistence. Like some people consider heaven, hell, and ghost to be on. They can use and move things where we are, but not be seen except in special circumstances.

Added: Someone said they died at the end. Incorrect, they slipped over when they entered the town. They are in a sort of Limbo,.. neither dead nor alive but they may still need to eat and drink,.. though posibly not as much as before. Your hope for them is other movies come out that help them get back to the place the father exist.

More Added: Someone said she was the Daughter of the Devil. This is Incorrect,.. the lesson is this, to show, --> The the Hell you create when you torture the innocent.<-- This senerio is similar to what they believe Poltergeist/ghost to be now. But the most easily connected Ghost are linked to haveing a brutal and uncalled for attack on them. If you need help with ghost and then effecting people watch The Sixth Sense & Stir of Echoes (see what Clarvoynts have to go through). Some faiths and teachings try to explain the more pure and innocent and the more violent and uncalled for, the more powerful the revenge may be for the innocent.

Silent Hill is based on the Video game. The little girl that is adopted is the good part of Alyssa ( that is the girl you see at the end that is burnt in the bed.) She is being called back to Silent Hill and so when her mother brings her back they become stuck in another dimension, like someone said earlier somewhere between life and death. The reason she is being called back to Silent Hill is to help Alyssa get revenge on the women who burnt her. If you really want a good understanding of the movie go to the Silent Hill game website they give a lot of background on the game which will help you better understand the movie. And compared to most video game movies this one was awesome.

Contrary to popular belief, the mother and daughter are not dead. They're still trapped in Alessa's alternate dimension. Here's what happened...

There are three parts of Alessa:

- Alessa (the original body)

- Good Alessa (Sharon)

- Dark Alessa ("The Demon")

Sharon and Dark Alessa are basically physical manifestations of the two sides of Alessa - the good side and the evil side. As for how Alessa created these physical manifestations (and the alternate dimensions), it can only be assumed that she possessed some kind of supernatural power (possibly telekinetic and/or psionic powers, which would obviously lead everyone associated with the cult to call her a witch). Assuming this is true, the ending goes as follows:

1) Dark Alessa (aka - "The Demon") does not, in fact, take over or possess Sharon. Dark Alessa simply recombines with Good Alessa (Sharon), creating a new "reincarnated" Alessa.

2) Alessa's deal with her evil counterpart is not simply that she will help her exact her revenge, but that she will also be granted a new life with a better mother: Rose.

3) In this case, you can look at the ending in one of two ways:

a.) Alessa's plan works and she is granted a new mother in Rose. However, because Alessa was motivated by hate and revenge and let her evil side take over (as well as Rose's part in the revenge), Rose and Sharon (Alessa #2) are doomed to live in the purgatory-like realm that Dark Alessa created. Therefore, no one really wins.

b.) Alessa's plan works and she is granted a new mother in Rose. Now with Sharon's memories to work with after reuniting with her, Alessa can extend her sphere of influence and create a world just like the one Sharon and Rose lived in, where they can stay forever. In other words, Alessa doesn't want Rose to leave her alternate dimension; she wants to keep Rose all to herself.

not inevitably. even if that's, then Contra stress must be Contra 3, Resident Evil: Code Veronica must be Resident Evil 4, and so on. And technically Origins got here earlier it, so...If that became the case it must be SH 6. Me and my acquaintances jokingly call Homecoming "Silent Hill: The action picture: the game" because it variety of feels extra depending on the movie than the previous video games right down to some continuity complications.

Silent Hill is a town composed of people whom majority of them believe in witchcraft is a form of blasphemy and the only way to save those who practice it should be cleansed or in lame man's term, Burned.

Alessa, who looks identical to Sharon, was burned because she was concieved with out a father (Similar to Jesus Christ). When they were burning Alessa, An accident occured. The fire that was burning Alessa engulfed the whole room thus killing all the cult members. Allesa was in great pain, suffering and in anger. She understands that she was destined to make her revenge on the Cult even if they are already dead.

In addition, Many people have died in Silent Hill not because of the fire but the deadly fume that radiates from the ground due to the burning coal mentioned in the movie.

The Cult people, along with the others, are dead, they cannot cross to heaven or Hell and they are trapped in the purgatory( that explains why the roads are cut off) because something doesn't wan't them to cross and yes, it's Alessa.

In Catholic Folklore, Purgatory is a prelude to heaven, where the place where souls remain until they have expiated their sins and can go to heaven. It is a place where it completely resembles the place that you have died. So if you died at Silent Hill, that's your purgatory.The car crash killed both Sharon and Rose, along with the police officer, thus allowing them to enter their purgatory which is a heavily fogged, desolated Silent Hill.

Because of Alessa's anger,pain,hate and commitment to revenge was so powerful,the purgatory (Silent Hill in Fog), occasionally shifts into a hellish place(Silent Hill volcano version) but only for a limited period of time because there is the presence of faith and God that keeps the evil reduced. In this hellish place, The eyes of God closes, demons roam freely, and feast on human fear, flesh,etc. In this inhabitable place, there is only one refuge for the Cult people and that is the church. The church is considered a sanctuary and is protected by thier cult faith. Alessa is evil and cannot enter the sanctuary because of this, so that is why she needs a host and that is Rose.

In the ending of the movie, The roads that were cut off are now accesible because Alessa's hunger for revenge is satisfied and there is no point to trap anyone . Sharon and Rose wen't home, it still foggy because they are still in the purgatory and then the husband finds the door open but they are not there. Why? because they are ghosts, waiting ...
for God to bring them to heaven.

that movie was very confusing... the mother and theh daughter are dead in the end when they come home and that is why the husband cant see his wife and their dughter. it's been a while since i've seen it, but i really liked that movie. the little girl that they killed, her father was the devil, and she wasn't a bad kid, but the people of that weird town that burned down thought that she was and thats why they felt they had to kill her. it was actually pretty sad.
