what do u think is better....public school or catholic?

i am doing a project and i want to no which skool do u think is beter?

Interesting question. Well, first of all I'd like to say that I DO go to a catholic high school, but that doesn't mean I believe in my religion. What I mean is that not everyone has the same views. I also attend a FRENCH catholic school, so we only have about 200 students at our school (and share half a floor with a 3 stories english school...)

Catholic school seem to have less bullying, or less severe cases at our school, so if you're worried about your child or for any other reason, a catholic school is for you (though I must admit I hate my religion class and risk falling asleep during our 'ceremonies').

Public schools have a lot more students, that's for sure, and because of that it also mean there are more trouble makers and the school can't take care of all of them. But, like others have pointed out, public schools does have more diversity, which may or may not be too good.

I also think the teachers take better care and attention of the students since we aren't many in the school, but again my school is also french.

So, to make things short, if you want the 'cliche' high school life, go to a public school. If you just want to live a quiet life, pass your classes and not be bothered by anyone else, go to a catholic school.

Oh yeah, and you might need to get baptized for it. Yep.

Public school has so much more to offer, in the early years (grammar school). They are more advanced. For high school, Catholic is better. If you do a survey, you will see that most people who go to Catholic High Schools, coming from public grammar schools, are the ones who score better on the TACHS exam, and get scholarships.

it's a personal choice, but i'd rather send my kids to public school. i think it's better because of the simple fact, it's more like real life and the children learn more than just book smarts and someone else's moral standards. public school provides a wonderful opportunity for children to learn to interact will others of different backgrounds. public schools offer all or at least most of the same curriculum as private or catholic schools, without the sermons.

Public school because you get exposed to more people who are different than you. In a private (or Catholic) school, most of the people there are the same type of people- same social status, same religion, same views. Public school is more like the real world-not everyone's the same.

Fist off, you need to capitalize. Second, you want to 'know' not 'no'. The correct spelling is school. Finally, what are you basing the two on? Your question is too vague.

academically speaking, almost ANY private school (catholic or not) will be better than public for various reasons, including but not limited to smaller class sizes, better paid and therefore more motivated teachers, higher funding so more extracurricular activities are available, etc.....

Either one is better than homeschooling though, just speaking from my personal experience.

i vote public beacause , well , NO UNIFORM!!!!!! And also there are alot more different people in public schools.
