I feel really bad that I don't know this answer for sure. I know sexual immorality is a sin, does masturbation count as sexual immorality?

The Religion/Spiritual section wouldn't answer.

Well.....masturbation is considered a sin but I don't think you will go to hell doing it. Most do everyone has before. Just try not to do it and pray about it.

I can't speak for all Christian faiths but as far as Catholicism goes, yes masturbation is a sin. Actually, any sexual gratification that is not performed for the purpose of procreation is considered a sin under Catholic doctrine. Of course, now that the Crisis in the Church (Pedophilia within the priesthood) has become so public, people's views on different sexual acts have become more open-minded. But accorrding to the ever-conservative Vatican, the original "anything sexual is dirty" catechism is still the primary teaching.

I am a christian. Masturbation does NOT count as sexual immorality. See my response to your other question.

Briefly, there is nothing in the Bible prohibiting masturbation.

The theory behind "masturbation is a sin" is that if men masturbate then they are less likely to "go forth and be fruitful."

Yes . Usually the mind pictures people undress. The word says it is a sin to lust after anyone other then you marriage partner. Even you partner can be a sin if you put him before God. The sin that seperates us from God though is the Adamic nature we were born with.We are redeemed by his blood and have forgiveness through his finished work on the cross. That doesn't mean we have a license to sin. 1john 1:9 is a good scripture for you to read. God bLess !

You should listen to your heart. We are all sexual creatures....the Lord created us...He knows our hearts. I think it is better to masturbate...then be a little hootchy and doing all that with guys...We are all imperfect in some way or the other. I would not feel guilty doing a "natural thing"......just look at it as a "release"...kinda like a body upkeep....Good luck to you.

Some christian faiths would call that a sin, and some wouldn't. If you are thinking of ilmoral thoughts while in the process then it would be in more than others...

It is lust of the flesh, but it is not as bad as sex with someone, you don't know or you are not married to. I would abstain from this, plus is it got you in bondage,do you do it a lot? I would pray about it. Plus, I always go with my convictions, if I feel guilty then it is probable a sin.

Actually, it is.
The Bible says that any impure thought is a sin, and being that you can't actually masturbate without thinking about some kinda impure thought, then yes, its sinning.
Didn't mean to burst your bubble.
That is a for sure answer.
Found in the Old Testament.
