What do you do if you really like talking about a subject matter but you don't like a lot of the people? Like for example there's this message board I really like going to about psychological theory, I think it's fascinating but a few of the posters try to bully everybody else and act like they're smarter and they know more when they don't.

Do you participate anyway? Is one person liking what you post worth ten people that try to mock and belittle you?

Yes, participate. Don't let the egocentric people stop you. It's enough to know that you know wherein the truth lies. It's enough to know that some don't have a clue what they are talking about in regards to the subject at hand. I like to find solid resources, when this happens, and ensure I give them or quote them for all who want to to look up. I'll also come back later to a question and, if possible, throw down the gauntlet to those that are obviously ignorant and speaking only to be heard, or out of blatantly obvious bias. I agree that anything to do with the psychological aspect of human nature is intriguing, even if I don't know a lot about it. It is good for me to see people in all categories use back up resources and that obviously have knowledge about the subject in question. Don't let the ignorant blowhards silence you.PS. Don't forget to give those blowhards the thumbs down on their answers

The beginning of the dialogue is the division of ideas. You is important we hear what we didn't like, for of there to remove the logic of our theses.
If an idea doesn't survive the logic of the controversy, you is because she doesn't have breath or usefulness of practical life.

Some of the forums are really unmerciful. You meet know-it-alls everywhere. Check out your site, there may be a way to block the ones who irritate you.

Yes, otherwise the bullies have won and we certainly don't want that, do we? Stick with being fascinated and ignore the don't-know-it-all's...smiling.
