Honestly, just stay home. And if people come to your home, then leave. Take a vacation. And that's about it!

I guess funds are low this year :) What I suggest is writing a note to each person for whom you would normally purchase a gift and offer to DO something special for them. Most people would appreciate some extra time for themselves. Can you offer to babysit, feed the cat, do the shopping, clean the car, prepare a nice dinner? There are so many things that we can do which will be appreciated and will not cost us much. Time is a very precious commodity.......You can decide for how long you would be able to offer the favour so that there is no misunderstanding. Do have a happy Christmas!

You could make a donation to Heifer International in the names of your friends and family. It's a worthy organization that helps people around the world by giving them an animal that will help them survive and make a little money for their families, like sheep for wool, honeybees for honey, cows for milk, etc.
