There are plenty of good D-linemen in high school that are around 200 lbs. The question you need to ask yourself is how quick are you compared to the other linebackers as that will be important. The next is do you play better up or down (3 or 4pt stance or standing up). Being 6'3" if you dont play very well getting your pads down then RB can take advantage of you tackling too high. If that is the case then getting down in a stance (i.e. playing on the line) would be a much better option. And of course the biggest question is how does your coach perceive you, better at LB or DE. He will decide your best position and if you dont want to play that position you need to be prepared and have put in the work at the postion skills you want to play so the coach will at least give you a look there. And remember...do what is best for the team, winning is more important than personal glory.
Good Luck!

I would say D-line. I run a 4.9 and play inside linebacker and i get blown away by some of the running backs. Your a good size for a D-line person. Your very fast and got great upper body strength. I was a defensive tackle and I stand at 5'9" and weigh 170 and bench 205 and squat 375.

Depending the state you play football, it might be small or it might be perfect. It is a good ideal only if you feel comfortable and it will benefit the team. Don't be negative about the switch, it might be your calling. Good Luck
