I've caught the acting bug and nobody seems to understand why!!!! I truly deeply love to act. At this point in my life, it's the only thing that makes me happy. I don't care if I'm bad at it.(i'm fairly sure I'm not.) I want to do it for the rest of my life. I don't want to do it for the fame or for the money. I do it for me. The problem is I don't want to be just good. I want to be great. Can anybody help me with this?

You're doing it for the right reasons! The more you do anything, the better you'll get. Usually. I've known people who've been acting for over ten years and still make rookie mistakes. Work with people who are better than you. NEVER be intimidated by ANYONE! Take classes. Lots of them and lots of different kinds.
Improv is GREAT training. And earn an adult income at something else. That way you CAN do it forever and it's a part of your life, not your whole life. A true artist is never satisfied. It's a journey, not a destination.

Act as much as you can. If you are still in high school, join the drama class. Find a community theatre to audition for. Go to a good acting college and graduate. Then move to New York for theatre work and daytime tv or LA for movie and tv. Work really hard at your craft, keep taking classes, keep going on auditions and someday you might get really lucky and get that dream job!

Find the best acting teacher in the city where you live and study a few years with him or her.

take some acting classes and perhaps dance or movement classes as well. This will improve your odds when auditioning.
