Love is an all encompassing emotion, and when you love someone so much that it hurts it may be time to take a break in love. I believe that chances should be limitless, renewable, and rewarded. If you have a connection with someone, a soul connection even when it hurts you love them. You may not be able to live with them but you love them all-the-same. I think you can love some one from a distance. Te quiero.

Personally I would only give love one chance. I love my boyfriend very much and if we were ever to break up I wouldn't try to look for love again.

Depends if it's true love or just puppy love. Deep down inside you always know the difference, usually we just don't want to admit to it being puppy love. But for true love, as many chances as it takes.

Depends on what you mean. For example, you always have to work at true love and make adjustments, compromises, etc. but true love is not hurtful. A person who loves you wouldn't cheat on you so there's no need to forgive them for it. When someone utters the "Give me another chance" line, it's usually because they screwed up and that it's NOT true love.
So I'd give love every chance but if it's not love, just lust, then there's no 2nd chance. He hits me, he cheats on me, he lies to me, then I'm outta there!
