'"Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you." So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?"' Hebrews 13:5,6 ...How special are you that the LORD is YOUR helper? Because of this you can have confidence, and you never have to be afraid. :)

I had horrible self esteem and fear. It started when I was kid. I thought I was ugly and not talented. The way this showed was the fact that I had bad grades and didn't try any thing new. With the help of God, I came to know that GOD DOES NOT MAKE JUNK!!! The Bible says that we are fearfully and wonderfully made and that God cares about us so much that he know everything about us...how we feel and even the numbers of hairs we have on our heads. Everyone has something to offer this world. What are you good at? What can you offer someone?
My church sings at hospital and nursing homes. Once you think about how grateful you are and not the negatives, your thinking will change. I know that I am not the best looking. It took me a long time to come in to my own and find out who I was. I take pride in myself and look the best I can according to my budget. I used to think that if I was famous, had a lot of $$$ and looked prettier, I would be happy and have self esteem... NOPE!!!
Your self esteem comes from your self and not the outside. Know that you are valuable and have worth. I used to be afraid of
people and situations, but I just got out there and tried new things. I enjoy singing in a community choir and I've met a lot of nice people. It's boosted my self esteem and I am happier because of it. Go out and find the person you want to be!

If you really wanna build a self esteem , just sit alone one day and close your eyes and just try to recall your accomplishments in life, the last time you made someone laugh, you got a good grade in school, helped a needy, or maybe helped someone at yahoo to resolve his problem. And you will realise that you are a nice person. try reading books on it, meditate.

Cheers

Don`t critize yourslef. Focus on what`s good about you and try to improve your skills. If there is something about you that really bothers you, work on it, but encourage yourself for trying. Most importantly, care about your opinions and what you think. Don`t try to fit societies image.

My quote: "'Normal' is just a nice way of saying 'boring'"

Don`t try to be normal, try to be you and let people see the real you. If they don`t like it, find someone who does. It doesn`t matter how someone acts or what they look like; there is someone out there who loves them for them.

surround yourself with idiots and ugly people. You will then realise your low opinion of yourself is poorly founded.
