not yet. Wait until 360 is 2 years old. Then PS3 will be 1 year old and PS2 will be antique. 360 just turned 1. WOO-Hoo

It's not completely dead yet but it's is starting to get old. There are still many good games coming out for the PS2 so you can close up your collection in a good way, but since the PS3 is out people will not pay too much attention to the PS2 anymore. You still have time to enjoy with it but sooner or later you'll need to get the PS3 so you can play its games.

NO WAY! They are still going to be making games for it they arent gunna stop like they did with PS1...The Playstation 3 is a waste man just keep the Ps2 until the prices go down then get one! There is no sense in buying it now while there still may be bugs in it...The only difference is they will make different games because they can run well on the new hardware in the PS3!

Yes, but only because of the new systems that are out, such as the Wii, the Xbox 360, and the PS3. I don't care. I still want a PS2.

i really do not think it is getting old, people are still buying the system and the games, i just think it may be outshined by the ps3...but i just got a ps2 a few months ago for my birthday and i wouldnt trade it for a ps3...well...maybe i would ^_^ but i do not think it is old, just a wee bit outdated.

Yes, only because they are coming out with the new games like: Xbox, Xbox360, PS3, Nintendo ids, and etc. My advice to you is get one before you get thrown behind in the new things that are coming out.

yeah, its old. It is a 5 year old system but it doesnt mean you shouldnt get one if you want it.
