The Idea behind execise is to build muscle and burn fat. Your prob is u r trying to do to much at once. You want instant results. So u over do it. Ever wonder why weight lifters talk about reps. They aint talking about republicans. The point is do some sit ups rest then do more. What happens as u excercise is u r essentially breaking down your muscle tissue. As you work out your body produces lactic acid wich breaks down the muscle cells and the fat cells. Hence the burn. How muscle growth works is u break them down then your body rebuilds them bigger to handle the strain u put on them. So that the can perform the required task u set for them and not break down. So u must increase the wieght or reps to achive a burn to cause your muscles to grow. Some people believe by taking createne. The can prevent the burn and work out longer. Wich is true to a extent. But all they r doing is wrapping their cells in water and preventing a burn. But with out the burn your muscles dont break down so they dont build up. The person may look bigger but that is just water weight. Muscles take time to build and fat takes time to break down. Muscle cells break down faster than fat cells. So as u build up muscle and gain weight but don't seem to lose the fat don't get discouraged. It just seems like the situps aren't working. Also remember to stretch before u work out it will help to prevent the cramps u r getting. Good luck.

Your muscles are not used to that much work. Start lighter and work up to 30 and more.

That pain means that you have worked passed your muscle threshold...this is when you are really doing work, if the pain gets really bad, stop exercising.
