Right up until two weeks ago, I worked two jobs.

Now, suddenly, I'm coming home from work and there's nothing to do. There's not a lot that I want to do either! Don't want to go to a gym, don't want to learn a new language, don't really want to read, don't want to watch TV, don't want to surf the net all evening. I don't drive or live that close to public transport, so even going out and getting wrecked and getting laid (although possible once in a while) isn't the solution. And my house is cleaner than Monica from Friends.

Ideas on new hobbies / new ways to kill time very much appreciated.

Are you suddenly stressed out at work more than before? Instead of going home straight from work why don't you volunteer at a homework club or homeless shelter then go home. Volunteering has a way of making you realize how good your life really is and gives a person more purpose in life. Weird that your bored with TV and the net and going out it's the fall and Seasonal Affective Disorder starts around this time of year. Get out side during your work breaks and get some sun on you, don't let the winter blahs get you.

Give it to me, I don't have enough time! If I had time I would learn a language, learn to dance the tango, learn sign language, learn to swim, travel the world and get a PhD in drama. Sadly my job beckons...Is there nothing you've always wanted to do that you could do? Maybe get another job save up and travel. Learn yoga or dance. Play solitaire. Write a book/ poem/ play/ cartoon strip. Learn to sew/ knit crochet/ embroider? Learn to sing/ play a musical instrument? Learn to rally cross or stock car race? Perfect your cooking skills. Get a pen friend. Invent something new that the world needs...The problem is, all these things take a certain amount of determination and need you to want to do them for them to work. Maybe you should catch up on sleep until the next job?

I have felt that way. I had to become empty to allow something else to seem interesting. Mine was the lack of purpose feeling following kids leaving home. It's 8 years later and I am signing up for some college classes to go after my bachelors in a different field. Spring semester starts in Jan. Check your local community college, when you are ready. For just busy work, I knit, quilt and do ministry projects through my church. I have found that signing up for something at church doesn't mean I have to own it, I can start small and quit if it isn't a fit for me. There are many behind the scenes tasks, like washing the towels used in the kitchen, that can make you feel needed. Good Luck!

Why dont you learn how to drive? Then you can go out any time to see your friends and dont have to worry about public transport. I was like you until I passed my test and now I haven't got a minute to my self because im going out with my mates and I love driving and I can drive where ever I want.

Microsoft 3D Pinball Space Cadet is fun. I just discovered this Y! Answers and I have wasted many hours just reading other peoples questions and comments. Get another Job? I'm not too fond of my last suggestion.

It's a new concept, kind of network marketing but 100% free and fun. It's just starting now but those who join will get paid for viewing seminars online.

It's a great way to kill time and if you get paid for it too, it's an excuse to spend all that spare time online :)

I like dancing. I practice my steps often. I'm perfecting my salsa moves now, but in 2 weeks I'm going to learn the cha-cha.
