What is a good photo printer for use with and without a computer.The smaller the better?

HP is my favorite. You can even run them from a battery for total freedom. These use an actual ink cartridge that's refillable!

Dell uses a thermal film transfer that works well. Same as Kodak.

Epson has an ink cartridge/paper pack refill system and works well.

Your choice depends on who you trust for service and dependability. I have had good luck with all of the above.
