I think that you should watch the video the girl up above me gave to you. It is a good video I just watched child birth for the first time(I'm 14). It is not that bad. I disagree with the guy above me. I think that you should be there though no matter if you are uncomfortable or not. You were there making the baby you need to be there when your little creation is coming into this world. Your wife has carried this baby for 10 not 9 months( woman are pregnant for 38- 40 weeks). If she can be unwillingly uncomfortable that long then I think you can stand it just a few minutes. I think you will be great though, and CONGRATULATIONS.

Take the baby classes with her. Still, nothing can really prepare you when the time comes. I don't believe a man should have to watch the baby come out if he's uncomfortable. That's OK. It doesn't make him any closer to the woman or child if he does. As long as he's there holding her hand he shouldn't have to look. Sorry to say, sometimes after the fact, he can be afraid to touch her later on for fear that he will hurt her or he can have frighting images after the fact. I all depends on the man and he should be allowed to admit where his comfort zone is. After all whats the most important thing. THat the baby be raised by the happy biological parents!! Happy Baby!

I watched "A Baby Story" for 9 months, then my wife ended up having a c-section, so I didn't see anything. There were a group of paramedics in training observing the birth of my daughter though. I'm sure it was quite a sight.
