"Maneater" is a song recorded by American duo Daryl Hall and John Oates. It hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on December 18 in 1982. In 2006 the song and its subject matter were adapted and reinterpreted by Nelly Furtado in a track, also called "Maneater," from her album Loose.

I think parts of the song were borrowed from ManEater by Hall and Oates. I like both. I have her CD's before she had Nevis and I got this one as soon as it came out. I think Nelly is a true artist.

i liked the other single she put out this year better because the mixer of maneater put the vocals way to low in the mix

She is not the original singer. Her new style is more catchy to me than the old style.

1) No, She Remade It, And I Like her Version Much Better, The Orginal It Was A Guy Singing.

2) Yeah, I Like Her New Style Alot, but I Like Her Old One Too! Alot Of People Like Her Old One Better, But I Have To Admit, I Do Like Her New Style Better!

3) The Original Man Eater Is Sung By 'Hall And Oates' And The Lyrics Are Very Very Diffrent: Here Are The Lyrics

She'll only come out at night
The lean and hungry type
Nothing is new, I've seen her here before
Watching and waiting
Ooh, she's sittin' with you but her eyes are on the door

So many have paid to see
What you think you're gettin' for free
The woman is wild, a she-cat tamed by the purr of a Jaguar
Money's the matter
If you're in it for love, you ain't gonna get too far

(Oh-oh, here she comes) Watch out boy she'll chew you up
(Oh-oh, here she comes) She's a maneater
(Oh-oh, here she comes) Watch out boy she'll chew you up
(Oh-oh, here she comes) She's a maneater

I wouldn't if I were you
I know what she can do
She's deadly man, she could really rip your world apart
Mind over matter
Ooh, the beauty is there but a beast is in the heart

(Oh-oh, here she comes) Watch out boy she'll chew you up
(Oh-oh, here she comes) She's a maneater
(Oh-oh, here she comes) Watch out boy she'll chew you up
(Oh-oh, here she comes) She's a maneater

------ saxophone ------

Ooh,
(Oh-oh, here she comes) Here she comes, Watch out boy she'll chew you
up
(Whoa-oh, here she comes. Watch out) She's a maneater
(Oh-oh, here she comes. She's a maneater) Ooh, she'll chew you up
(Oh-oh, here she comes) Here she comes, she's a maneater
(Oh-oh, here she comes. Watch out) She'll only come out at night, ooh
(Oh-oh, here she comes) Here she comes, she's a maneater
(Oh-oh, here she comes. She's a maneater) The woman is wild, woo
(Oh-oh, here she comes) Here she comes. Watch out boy, watch out boy
(Oh-oh, here she comes) Oh, watch out, watch out, watch out, watch
out
(Oh-oh, here she comes) Yeah, yeah, she's a maneater
(Oh-oh, here she comes. She's a maneater) She's watching and waiting,
ooh
(Oh-oh, here she comes) Oh, she's a maneater
