My name is Rachel and I'm 15 years old. My boyfriend is 17. I run on a 28 day cycle, which began on Oct 28. It's now the 25th of Nov and there's no sign of my period yet. I usually get cramps beforehand, but so far I've only gotten a clear mucus that comes before my period, and a headache which might not be linked to my period. It was me and boyfriends first time, and my friend said we're experiencing the first time fear.

We had sex for the first time on the 18th of this month, he used a spermicidal lubricant condom, and we only did it for two minutes. From what we seen there were no breakages or holes, and he didn't ejaculate in me. The second time a few days later was the same as the first.

He has fingered me a few times, and iIdoubt there was any pre semen on his finger, but if anything he just touched his penis, while it wasn't wet, because there obviously wasnt a load of semen on his hands, when he touched me.

I'm scared, and so is he.

We need some clarification.

Thank you.

Hi Rachel,

It's very unlikely you're pregnant. You can only get pregnant on a few days each month, and if you had sex on the 18th when your period's due on the 25th, you shouldn't have been ovulating at that time (which you'd need to be to get pregnant). And you seem to have been very careful too, which makes it even more unlikely.

So don't worry too much about it (hard, I know!). It's probably stress that's making your period late - and as others have said, if it doesn't come in a week or so take a test to hopefully put your mind at rest.

Hi Rachel,

I can understand why you'd be scared.

You may not like this answer but right now it's too early to tell. From what you said, it is very unlikely that you are pregnant but you won't even be able to get a test for another 3 weeks or so.

I think you're doing what you need to do to use protection and I commend you for that. Please continue to do that ALWAYS. It's important.

And I'm definitely not on here to judge people but if you want to be absolutely sure that you don't get pregnant until you're ready--abstinence is the only way.

Good luck.

Your best bet is to go go and buy a pregnancy test and check for sure. If you have a Dollar Tree where you live or a store where everything is a Dollar just buy one of those test all the test are the same the $1 ones or the $$ expensive ones. Just get a test and check. Or you can go to your local health department for a free confidental test without parental consent and they can tell you.
Need more advice e-mail me.

Rachel, the best way to know for sure it to have a test. There are many agencies that offer free pregnancy tests. Be smart and get tested. And next time you and your boyfriend decide to have sex, use a condom, they are not foolproof, but they offer some protection and piece of mind.

You're probably not, based on the information you've given. If you're scared, then just take a test to be sure. You can get them at any drug store. (If you've missed a period due to pregnancy, it would show on a test.)
By the way, I don't condone sex at your age, but I'm proud of you for doing the responsible thing--using protection. Please remember the scared feeling you have right now and continue to do so---EVERY TIME. Good luck to you.

Guilt and fear can cause a lot of stress on a womans mind. Causing her to body to act as though it is pregnant.

If you're late, take a test.

You can go on birth control absolutely free, and without your parents knowledge at planned parenthood.

You can look them up by your zip code one http://www.plannedparenthood.com. I live 20 miles from a grocery store, but there are still 3 planned parenthood locations within 30 minutes of me. So theres no excuse.

If your period hasn't came on a week after your expected date you may want to pick up a test and see what's up.
Pregnancy test are really accurate and you will know if you are pregnant a week before your period.
As a matter of fact you may want to go get a test now.

you probably arent pregnant. i know the first time i had sex i was about a week and a half late. and part of the reason is becuz you are so stressed out. if your bf can drive by himself have him go to wal-mart and buy a cheap pregnancy test. or if you can, get to a doc. if you need anymore help or advice, feel free to e-mail me: paigeh345@yahoo.com
